This book celebrates the long and diverse career of the prolific Tulsa artist, a painter, sculptor and printmaker whose work— in watercolor, oil, acrylic, and bronze — can be found in more than 500 private and corporate collections worldwide.
Published in 2014 by Tulsa's Müllerhaus Legacy Publishing and written by O'Meilia's son Matt, a professional writer, the book traces the development of a prolific career that spans more than six decades. Readers will find many examples of art produced during the various stages of O'Meilia's career, including his days as a struggling portrait artist and magazine illustrator, his rise to prominence as one of the country's finest sports artists, and his unexpected but incredibly successful detour into bronze sculpture.
This beautiful hardback book was masterfully produced in America on four-color press to highlight the photographs of O'Meilia's art.
